Hoof Trimming Training courses can be adapted to suit individual customers’ requirements. Normally we run a one day “introduction to Hoof Trimming” course which will give you the knowledge to trim and treat your own cows & bulls feet. This course will start with a little theory, so the trainee understands the makeup of the bovine foot. Then trainees will learn the Dutch 5 step method of hoof trimming and put this into practice on cadaver feet using our professional tools The final practical session is trimming live cow’s feet under our supervision. The day ends with the group discussing what they have learnt. Our Hoof Trimming training courses are run from our home base in SW Vic. Since these training courses are an outdoor activity, we normally run training courses in the summer months January to April when the weather is more dependable. We look to have 6-8 trainees per course. Courses start at $330 per person
